Yes. Switch plans anytime from the Upgrade page. Changes take effect immediately and are prorated: when you upgrade, you're only charged the difference for the rest of the current period; when you downgrade, the unused balance is credited to your next invoice. You keep a single subscription, so you're never billed twice.

We accept standard credit and debit cards through Stripe. Two things make a card ineligible for the 14-day free trial: (1) prepaid, virtual, and most disposable cards; and (2) a card that has already been used for a free trial. In both cases you can still subscribe, but billing starts immediately instead of after 14 days. The trial is one per card, so re-subscribing or opening a second account with the same card starts a paid subscription right away.
